The Fall Line is a steep waterfall separating the Coastal Plain and the Piedmont region. It is about 20 miles long stretching across Georgia.
Okefenokee Swamp
The Okefenokee swamp is a swamp in the Southern part of Georgia. The swamp alone covers more than 700 square miles of southeast Georgia and northwest Florida.
Appalachian Mountains
The Appalachian Mountains are a system of mountains in eastern North America. Before the heights of these mountains were about the size of the Alps or the Rocky Mountains, but now, because of erosion, they have gone down.
Chattahoochee River
The Chattahoochee River Extends from the North East Corner of Georgia down to the North West corner of Florida. The Chattahoochee River forms the southern half of the Alabama and Georgia border, as well as a portion of the Florida border.
Savannah River
The Savannah river is the barrier for Georgia and South Carolina. It starts in the North East corner of Georgia and extends down to the Atlantic Ocean.
The Barrier Islands
The Barrier Islands are Islands on the East side of Georgia. They protect the Mainland from erosion caused by waves. Back then they had forts to protect the country from other countries coming to invade.
